Frequently Asked Questions

What to expect from your Carlson Coatings roof?

You should expect what you expect. Our goal is to meet and exceed your expectations in every step of the process. Our salesmen will sit down with you and find your specific roofing needs as well as how best to communicate with you during the process.

There are the 5 phases to each roof we do:

  1. Power wash/Clean roof substrate.
  2. Primer roof.
  3. Caulk all faster heads.
  4. Reinforce all seams with fabric and base coat.
  5. Seal entire roof with the top coat.

How long should the job take?

Depending on the conditions of the roof, any fixing of roof penetrations, and weather, you should expect us to complete 10,000 sq. a day.

What kind of inconvenience will the construction process impose on my tenants/customers?

What makes roof coatings great is that there is very little inconvenience on your tenants or customers. We ask that all vehicles be positioned 100’ or more away from the building to ensure that vehicles will not be touched with over spray. Depending on the location of your water spigots and parking lot configuration we may need to cone off some parking spots for our equipment. Noise is always an issue in construction and should be anticipated throughout. Roofs can become very dirty over time. When power washing your roof the dirt will go down your down spouts and into the sewage system.

What makes Carlson Coatings different?

This is the real question.

There are many different companies who apply roof coatings. Roof coatings are very straight forward in their application and are hard to get wrong. Here is where we differ:

  1. Our knowledge base of commercial roofing (over 20yrs experience)
  2. Our attention to the details
  3. Our commitment to completing the job on time
  4. Our customer service.

Through these four areas Carlson Coatings is a cut above other excellent roof coating companies.
