Fixing a leaky chimney down at UNL today

July 10, 2013 | By | No Comments

Fixing a leaky chimney with some new copper flashing, from bob at firestone sheet metal. First we measured where our new flashing would go and began by taking a grinder with a diamond blade to cut that line out. Then we slid our new flashing into the grove, after that we took our drill with a masonry drill bit and drilled hole every 16 inches and then tapped new lead hit anchors into the wall to fasten the flashing. After that we ran a small bead of sealant along the top of the flashing to create and extra gasket for water to run off of.

Commercial Roofing On Walnut Grove

July 8, 2013 | By | No Comments

Having fun on this job up in Omaha. Doing some commercial roofing is a nice change of pace sometimes! We are like always using Interwraps titanium felt and Malarkey Shingles . Commercial roofing is more about safety then anything the codes and regulations for commercial have been stepped up greatly in the last couple years. This makes us have to be on top of our game everyday and that is only possible because of a our foreman Dave. He know all codes and regulations and is constantly watching the whole crew to be sure everyone is a safe and efficient as possible, which isn’t always the easiest job thats for sure.

Siding A Steeple How To

July 3, 2013 | By | No Comments

Siding a steeple is an interesting job and this was no different and definitely had it’s challenges, It wasn’t just a simple rebuild. The steeple was 80 ft off the ground so we had to lift everything onto a flat roof and work from up there, while being harnessed in. But, like always we got the job done and done right so there will never be a chance for a leak again. The siding on this steeple was completely concrete siding which will make it incredibly durable to the elements.

Here’s a few pictures of us siding a steeple.

TITANIUM UDL-30 Features & Benefits.

The roofing products we use

June 21, 2013 | By | No Comments

We only use the best roofing products on our the homes we roof.  Malarky is a brand that stands by their products and have created a shingle with a 30 year warrantee that actually means 30 years! check out all of their roofing products below.

PRODUCTS | Malarkey Roofing Products.

For our underlayment we use a roofing product called Titanium it is a synthetic fell that does not rip or tear unless your are using a straight blade knife. The roofing products that titanium puts out can be left on a roof exposed to the elements for 6 months without needing shingles compared to a standard felt that may only last a week if that.
