Beautiful Bathroom Remodel in Lincoln, NE
This bathroom remodel in Lincoln, Nebraska started as an outdated second-floor bathroom from the 1900’s. We wanted to update the overall design to reflect the original build while giving it a modern and clean, yet classic look.
We started with the modern, classic look of white subway tiles for the shower backsplash. White subway tiles are a clean and modern look that works great with almost any architectural style and suit almost any taste in interior design.
To accentuate the backsplash, we added white hexagon mosaic tile with black accents on the floor and shower niches. To make things even better, we knew we were on the right path when the terra-cotta colored tile was removed and we found the original tile was a white mosaic hexagon. The Milanzzo collection by Mirabelle was a perfect nod to the past with a modern twist.
For the finishing touch, we painted the vanity with Sherwin Williams Pure White and topped it all off with Caesarstone’s Statuario Maximus, a marble inspired quartz countertop. Quartz is non-porous by nature, so it’s more resistant to stains and is less likely to keep bacteria hanging around. Granite and concrete countertops look awesome as well but quartz adds a level of durability without having to treat or coat the surface. Thanks to Contemporary Woods for crafting this beautiful vanity!
Bathroom remodels don’t have to be difficult. Out with the old and in with the new backsplash and flooring alone will give the appearance of a brand new bathroom. We decided to use primarily stainless steel components for handles, faucets, and the shower head to keep with the simplistic, clean, and classic yet modern look.
